Das bretteleben.de "Simple Picture Slideshow" Plugin für Joomla!1.5, Joomla!1.6, Joomla!1.7 und Joomla!2.5 ist ein - wie der Name schon sagt - einfaches Plugin zur Darstellung einer Slideshow in einem Beitrag. Die Bilder werden überblendet, der Effekt funktioniert mit den gängigen Browsern. Die Slideshow wird wahlweise über einen Link/Button, oder aber automatisch mit dem Laden der Seite gestartet.

- unterstützte Bildformate .jpg, .png und .gif
- im Beitrag positionierbar (links, rechts, zentriert, float links, float rechts)
- beliebig viele Slideshows in einem Beitrag

Einschränkungen/Vorschau
Das Feature Bilder per Script nachzuladen arbeitet derzeit im "fire&forget" Modus. Das bedeutet, es erfolgt beim Aufruf keine Kontrolle, ob das Dummybild wirklich bereits ersetzt wurde. Das wird ein Punkt sein, an dem Nachfolgeversionen anknüpfen.
Kompatibilität
Das Plugin ist unter Joomla 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 und 2.5 erfolgreich getestet, das Zusammenspiel mit den verschiedensten anderen Erweiterungen mag aber Probleme mit sich bringen.
Ich empfehle einen Testlauf vor dem Einsatz auf einer aktiven Seite und stehe für Fragen und Anregungen immer gerne zur Verfügung.

Please check the section B.) Parameter Overrides at the page "Howto Plugin Code" (link in the menu at the left), it explains how to override the values set in the backend by using "parameter=value"-pairs directly in the code in your article.

Ein kleiner Hinweis: Leider funktioniert das Plugin unter Joomla 2.5 nicht bei Domains mit Umlauten.

Ich habe zur Zeit keine Umlautdomain registriert, also wenn jemand eine solche Seite mit Joomla! aufbaut und mir während der Testphase temporär Zugang gewähren könnte - vielleicht lässt sich "funktioniert nicht" ja zumindest eingrenzen. :)

I am using your simple picture slide show plugin since 2 years on our website as slow motion video for pictures. See here:

It's brilliant for this purpose as it is able to sort picture from old to new.
I am currently migrating to Joomla 2.5 and also updated your plugin to the latest version (on my test machine). I have two issues here:
1.) The pictures are processed by the server on every page load and not once in the beginning anymore. This takes the page to load for 5-10s and increases server load dramatically
2.) I cannot use button label "" works for the next button.("<<" does not work for any of the button labels)

1.) If you mean the parameter "preload", it was broken in version 1.5.5 for J!2.5. I just fixed this and uploaded version 1.5.6 for J!2.5. Please update the plugin.
If - on the other hand - you really mean "processed by the server", the "Simple Picture Slideshow" uses the original uploaded image files, this means the server never processes any image file.
2.) You are right, I will fix this but meanwhile you can use the entitiy "&# 38;# 60;" (without the blanks and quotationsmarks) for the left angle. Just be aware, that saving it twice will purge the value again.
