The VSIG for Hot Property Plugin for Joomla! 1.5 is a modified version of the bretteleben.de "Very Simple Image Gallery" and an alternative to the standard gallery for Mosets Hot Property. It works with Mosets Hot Property Version 1.0.0 RC1 (and hopefully above :)).

Features:

- supports .jpg, .png und .gif
- can be aligned left, right, centered, float left or float right
- thumbnails optional below or right of the main image
- optional split galleries into multiple sets (with navigation and counter)
- optional show title and description (Captions)
- optional display captions blended over the main image or below
- optional link the images with the original picture (opens in new window)
- optional use a default link for the whole gallery
- works with and without JavaScript
- use custom buttons
- use custom stylesheets

Hallo Peter!

Hi Karen!

To be honest - I have no idea!
At first, Hot Property 1.0 is programmed with extensions like this one in mind, it's easy to use the given hook for the gallery plugin. I don't know if Mosets Tree offers this possibility too.
Second, Mosets Tree claims to allow external plugins to work (see documentation) so, maybe the Very Simple Image Gallery already works in the content of an item and there is no need for a modified version.
Third, although (or maybe because) I want to keep my extensions non commercial, I'm not developing and maintaining them for their pure existence. Therefore I will check if this extension finds approval (easy to measure in page views here and views, votes, reviews at the JED) before I start the next one.

Best regards
Andreas
Will you be creating a version for Mosets Tree?....

Hi,
Great-looking gallery for Mosets HP - I was just wondering whether you will be creating a version of VSIG for Mosets Tree & if so, how long before you release it?......(I think it would be very popular....)
Thanks,
Karen

Hi Guido!

Thanks for your offer, I already announced the extension in the forum for third party developers at forum.mosets.com the day I released it. If you are talking about another forum - attracting interest is always a good idea. :)

About the slideshow - the feature is on my roadmap for the original. If it works there, I will bring it to the modified version too.

About the lightbox - no :)
Even the possibility to link the original images is a concession to the default gallery, but the main reason to fork the "Very Simple Image Gallery" from the original "Simple Image Gallery" was to get rid of the lightbox. I don't like modal windows. I want my content (and I consider images as a part of my content) to stay within the layout of the page. I want text to be readable, navigation to be usable and ads to be clickable. Last one doesn't count in a business site I know, but even there you want your visitor to pick up the facts about your property too instead of hiding them behind a black curtain. I know I'm dauntingly "WEB 1.0" - but I like it. :)

Best regards
Andreas
great addition

Would you mind if I add a link to your solution in the mosets'forums?
May I add a suggestion?
What about adding an automatic slideshow?
and what about a lightbox, highslide or similar zooming script when clicking on the photo to magnify it?
thanks for your work!
